  • DHL driver prevents a major crash on the M5
This lorry driver (Dawn Leonard, Age 52) was applauded by her peers and emergency services for her support during this incident, when she directed a swerving lorry off of the motorway (the driver of which was becoming unconscious) then positioning her vehicle onto the hard shoulder (once it was safe to do so) to check on a lorry driver who had just driven off of the road, having a minor crash. She soon found the driver who was unconscious and contacted the emergency services, resolving the situation much faster.
Thanks to her actions, a major crash may have been avoided as the driver began to lose control of the vehicle.
Speaking on the matter, Dawn said: “You never know how you’re going to react in these kinds of situations and I couldn’t sit without doing anything.
"Had he hit cars or the barrier it would be anyone’s guess what could’ve happened. I’m just glad the driver is ok and I wish him and family all the best.”

  • 13 lorry drivers save a suicidal man’s life
This took place in America, where a motorway was closed due to a man who was prepared to jump from a bridge in an attempt to end his life. The lorry drivers (who were stuck with the rest of the traffic) were escorted in by the police force in an effort to convince him otherwise, the truckers united by lining up the vehicles meaning if he were to jump he would land on one of the trailers and be completely safe. This heroic deed stopped the man from jumping and emergency services were called to support him. Thanks to the truckers, the man was safely escorted away from the bridge.

  • Hero trucker pulls family from fire
David Fredericksen was driving along a highway in the US, when suddenly he saw fire in front of him. Not even hesitating, David grabbed his fire extinguisher and sprinted towards the flames as he saw a family trapped inside one of the vehicle involved. He used his extinguisher to put out the flame, then helped to get the family out of the vehicle. David, among the others who helped could’ve saved the family’s lives.
When asked what gave him such courage, David said: “I trusted in God when I went there. It could’ve blown up and killed me. He’s got a plan for me, because after I got back to the truck my hands were shaking. My actions were because of my love for God and love for people. Because it does make a difference.”

  • Unknown truck driver stops a car robbery turned kidnapping
This tanker driver (who didn’t wish to be named) saw a robber attempt to steal a woman’s car, as he drove off, she jumped back inside the vehicle in an attempt to stop him. The truck driver jumped out of his cab and was able to bring the vehicle to a halt. Knowing he’d never get away with it, the robber attempted to exit the vehicle and flee the scene.
After stopping the vehicle, the trucker attempted to stop the robber escaping. Although he escaped, the police eventually identified the suspect and he was charged for his crimes. Considering he was still considering the theft with the vehicle’s owner inside, the truck driver could’ve very well saved her life that day.
