M25 Junction 5 to 6
Work continues this week on an upgrade to the central reservation barrier along the M25 between junctions 5 (Sevenoaks) and 6 (Godstone), ahead of a major improvement project scheduled to start in the spring. Narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit are in place, with a free recovery service operating 24 hours a day. There will be additional lane and slip road closures as required, which will be carried out overnight when traffic flow is lowest.
M25 Junction 23 to 27
Main construction work on a major upgrade for the M25 on the Hertfordshire/Essex border will begin this month. Starting on Monday night, narrow lanes will be installed on both carriageways of the M25 between junctions 23 and 25, and a 50mph speed limit will be introduced. These will be in place 24 hours a day until spring 2014, when work will move to junctions 25-27.
A free recovery service will operate 24 hours a day. There will be additional lane and slip road closures as required, which will be carried out overnight when traffic flow is lowest, and details will appear in this bulletin.
M25 Junction 7
The link road from the anti-clockwise M25 to the M23 in both directions will be closed overnight on Tuesday 19 February between 10pm and 5am for structures maintenance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 6 of the M25.
M25 Junction 7
The link road from the clockwise M25 to the northbound M23 will be closed overnight on Wednesday 20 February between 10pm and 5am for structure maintenance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 8 of the M25.
M25 Junction 19
The anti-clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight on Wednesday 20 February between 10pm and 5am for carriageway repairs. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via the A41 to junction 20.
M25 Junction 20
The anti-clockwise exit slip road will be closed overnight on Tuesday 19 February between 10pm and 5am for carriageway repairs. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 18.
M25 Junction 21a
The clockwise exit slip road will be closed overnight on Monday 18 February between 10pm and 5am for litter clearance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 22.
M25 Junction 21a
The clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight on Monday 18 February between 10pm and 5am for litter clearance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 20.
M25 Junction 23
The clockwise M25 at junction 23, where the motorway meets the A1(M) at South Mimms, will be closed through the junction overnight on Monday 18 February, Tuesday 19 February, and Saturday 23 February between 10pm and 5.30pm for bridge joint and resurfacing work. Similar closures are scheduled for next week.
The anti-clockwise carriageway through the junction will be closed overnight on Wednesday 20 February and Thursday 21 February between 10pm and 5.30am each night for bridge joint and resurfacing work. On each night, a short diversion will be in place directing road users across the junction 23 interchange.
M25 Junction 25
The clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight on Monday 18 February between 10pm and 5.30am for tunnel maintenance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 24.
M25 Junction 25
The anti-clockwise entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight on Monday 18 February between 11pm and 5.30am for tunnel maintenance. Fully signed diversion routes will be in place, with drivers seeking to use the exit slip road directed via junction 24 and drivers seeking to use the entry slip road directed via junction 26.
M1 Junction 2
The northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight on Thursday 21 February between 10pm and 5am for carriageway repairs. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via A1 and the A41 to junction 4.
M1 Junction 6 to Junction 5
The M1 between junction 6 and junction 5 (including the southbound entry slip at junction 6) will be closed overnight for two nights from Monday 18 February between 10pm and 5.30am for structure maintenance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via the A405, A41 to junction 5.
M40 Junction 1a
The link road from the westbound M40 to the anti-clockwise M25 will be closed overnight on Thursday 21 February between 10pm and 5am for carriageway repairs. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route to junction 17.
M20 Junction 2
The eastbound exit slip road will be closed overnight on Tuesday 19 February between 10pm and 5am for litter clearance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 4 of the M20.
A1(M) Junction 2
The northbound exit slip road will be closed overnight on Tuesday 19 February between 10pm and 5am for carriageway repairs. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route to junction 3.

The link road from the westbound A13 to junction 31 of the M25 will be closed overnight on Saturday 23 February between 10pm and 5am for structure maintenance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 30.

The eastbound exit slip road to the A1012 will be closed overnight on Tuesday 19 February between 10pm and 5am for litter clearance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route to the A128.

The link road from the westbound A13 to the southbound A1089 will be closed overnight on Thursday 21 February between 10pm and 5am for litter clearance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via the A128.

The link road from the northbound A1089 to the eastbound A13 will be closed overnight on Thursday 21 February between 10pm and 5am for litter clearance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route to the A128.

The southbound entry slip road for the A126 will be closed overnight on Friday 22 February between 11pm and 5am for litter clearance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via the Asda roundabout.

The westbound link road to the northbound A282 will be closed overnight on Monday 18 February between 10pm and 5am for electrical work. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route to the junction 2 roundabout.
QEII Bridge
The QEII Bridge will be closed overnight on Saturday 23 February between 10pm and 5am for structure maintenance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route through the east tunnel.
