25th February 2015 summary of roadworks for M25

A traffic management summary for both new and ongoing work

M25 Junction 5 to 6
Work continues this week on an upgrade to the central reservation barrier along the M25 between junctions 5 (Sevenoaks) and 6 (Godstone), ahead of a major improvement project scheduled to start in spring 2013. Narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit are in place, with a free recovery service operating 24 hours a day. There will be additional lane and slip road closures as required, which will be carried out overnight when traffic flow is lowest.

M25 Junction 23 to 27
Main construction work on a major upgrade for the M25 on the Hertfordshire/Essex border will begin this month. Starting on Monday night, narrow lanes will be installed on both carriageways of the M25 between junctions 23 and 25, and a 50mph speed limit will be introduced. These will be in place 24 hours a day until spring 2014, when work will move to junctions 25-27.

A free recovery service will operate 24 hours a day. There will be additional lane and slip road closures as required, which will be carried out overnight when traffic flow is lowest, and details will appear in this bulletin.

M25 Junction 3
The clockwise entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight on Tuesday 26 February between 10pm and 5am for litter clearance. Road users seeking to use the entry slip road will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 2 and road users seeking to use the exit slip road will be directed via junction 4.

M25 Junction 3
The anti-clockwise entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight on Wednesday 27 February between 10pm and 5am for litter clearance. Road users seeking to use the entry slip road will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 4 and road users seeking to use the exit slip road will follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 2.

M25 Junction 7
The link road from the anti-clockwise M25 to the M23 in both directions will be closed overnight on Tuesday 26 February between 10pm and 5am for structures maintenance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 6 and return.

M25 Junction 17
The anti-clockwise entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight on Thursday 28 February between 10pm and 5am for carriageway repairs. Road users seeking to use the entry slip road will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 18 and road users seeking to use the exit slip road will be directed via junction 1 of the M40.

M25 Junction 18
The clockwise entry and exit slip roads will be closed overnight for three nights from Monday 25 February between 10pm and 5am for electrical work. Road users seeking to use the entry slip road will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 17 and road users seeking to use the exit slip road will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 20.

M25 Junction 22
The clockwise exit slip road will be closed overnight on Tuesday 26 February between 10pm and 5am for pothole repairs. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 23.

M25 Junction 23
The clockwise carriageway at junction 23 will be closed overnight between the exit and entry slip roads for four nights from Monday 25 February for structure maintenance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route across the junction interchange.

M25 Junction 25
The anti-clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight for three nights from Monday 25 February between 10pm and 5.30am while the roadworks for the major motorway upgrade between junction 23 and 17 is installed. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 26.

M25 Junction 29
The clockwise exit slip road will be closed overnight on Monday 25 February between 10pm and 5am for electrical work. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 30.

M4 Junction 3 to Junction 2.
The eastbound carriageway will be closed between junction 3 and junction 2 overnight for five nights from Monday 25 February between 10pm and 5am for signage work. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via the A4.

M11 Junction 4
The link road from the southbound M11 to the westbound A406 will be closed overnight for three nights from Wednesday 27 February between 10pm and 5am for electrical work. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via the Redbridge Roundabout.

The northbound exit slip road for the A126 will be closed overnight on Monday 25 February between 10pm and 5am for litter clearance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via the A1012.

The link road from the northbound A1089 to the westbound A13 will be closed overnight on Monday 25 February between 10pm and 5am for litter clearance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via the A128.

The northbound entry slip road for the A126 will be closed overnight on Monday 25 February between 10pm and 5am for litter clearance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via the westbound A13 to the A126.

The link road from the northbound A1089 to the westbound A13 will be closed overnight for five nights from Monday 25 February between 10pm and 6am for safety barrier repairs. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via the A1012.

A3
The northbound exit and southbound entry slip roads for Esher will be closed overnight for seven nights from Monday 25 February between 10pm and 5am for structure repairs. On Friday night work will start at 11pm. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via Esher Common.
