18th March 2013 summary of roadworks for M25
A traffic management summary for both new and ongoing work

M25 junctions 5 to 6
Work continues this week on an upgrade to the central reservation barrier along the M25 between junctions 5 (Sevenoaks) and 6 (Godstone), ahead of a major improvement project scheduled to start in spring 2013. Narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit are in place, with a free recovery service operating 24 hours a day. There will be additional lane and slip road closures as required, which will be carried out overnight when traffic flow is lowest.

M25 junctions 23 to 27
Work continues this week on a major upgrade for the M25 on the Hertfordshire/Essex border. Narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit are in place on both carriageways between junctions 23 and 25, with a free recovery service operating 24 hours a day until spring 2014, when work will move to junctions 25-27. There will be additional lane and slip road closures as required, which will be carried out overnight when traffic flow is lowest.

M25 junction 8
The anti-clockwise exit and entry slip roads will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5.30am for ten nights from Saturday 16 March for resurfacing. Work on Friday night will start at 11pm. Road users will be directed to follow fully signed diversion routes via junction 6 for the exit slip road or via junction 9 for the entry slip road.

M25 junction 10
The anti-clockwise exit slip road will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5am for five nights from Monday 18 March for resurfacing. Work on Friday night will commence at 11pm. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 9.

M25 junction 18
The anti-clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5am on Thursday 21 March for communication work. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via M25 clockwise to junction 20.

M25 junction 20
The anti-clockwise exit slip road will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5am on Monday 18 March for carriageway repairs. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 18.

M25 junction 21a
The clockwise exit slip road will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5am on Monday 18 March for surface inspections. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 22.

M25 junction 23
The clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5.30am on Wednesday 20 March and between 10pm and 6am on Friday 22 March as part of the major project. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 22.

M25 junction 24
The anti-clockwise exit slip road will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5.30am for two nights from Monday 18 March for drainage work. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 23.

The anti-clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5.30am on Monday 18 March for drainage work. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via M25 clockwise to junction 25.

The clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5.30am on Thursday 21 March for drainage work. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via M25 anti-clockwise to junction 23.

M25 junction 25
The clockwise exit slip road will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5.30am on Tuesday 19 March for drainage work. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 26.

The anti-clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5.30am for two nights from Wednesday 20 March for drainage work. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via M25 clockwise to junction 26.

The clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight between 11pm and 6am on Friday 22 and Sunday 24 March for tunnel maintenance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via M25 anti-clockwise to junction 24.

M25 junctions 27 to 25
The anti-clockwise M25 will be closed between junctions 27 and 25 overnight between 10pm and 6am on Saturday 23 March for gantry removals. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via M11, A406 and A10.

M25 junction 30
The clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight between 10.30pm and 5.30am on Sunday 24 March for structural maintenance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route to junction 31.

M1 junction 3
The northbound exit slip road will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5am on Tuesday 19 March for carriageway repairs. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 5.

M4 junctions 1 to 3
Both carriageways will be closed between junctions 1 and 3 overnight between 10pm and 5am for four nights from Monday 18 March for drainage maintenance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via the A4.

M4 junction 5
The eastbound link road to the anti-clockwise M25 will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5am for four nights from Monday 18 March for resurfacing. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route to junction 4.

M11 junction 4
The eastbound A406 link road to the northbound M11 will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5.30am for 11 nights from Monday 18 March for bridge maintenance. Work on Friday nights will start at 11pm. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via the Redbridge roundabout.

A3 Esher
Both carriageways will be closed between the A244 (Esher common) and A243 (Hook Road) junctions overnight between 10pm and 5.30am for four nights from Monday 18 March structure maintenance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via the A244, A307 and A243.

A13 Mardyke viaduct
The southbound link road between M25 junction 30 and 31 roundabouts will be closed overnight on Sunday 24 March for structure maintenance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via A13, A126, B106 and A1306.

The westbound exit slip road to the A1089 will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5am for nine nights from Wednesday 13 March for barrier improvements. Work on Friday night will start at 11pm. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via the A1012 junction.

The southbound exit and entry slip roads for A126 will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5am for two nights from Monday 18 March for litter clearance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via Marshfoot Road and the Asda roundabout.
