Sam Magnet UK Limited started as Sam Magnet Import Export in June 2003 from a small basement office in Shepherds Bush Road, Hammersmith. We have grown from a small trading office. Our first order was for export of Scientific Laboratory Instrument to Libya. In 2004 we opened a small office in Surat, with 4 full time staff, we traded in variety of commodities and also suffered our first set back after being cheated by fraudster in Malaysia. Between 2004 and 2009 we traded in Used Mobile Phones, Exported Laser Parts & Consumables for the diamond cutting industry in Surat, India. Exported OTC and POM drugs to Europe, mainly Germany.
In January 2010 we registered as Sam Magnet UK Ltd and have exporting worked in the recycling and exporting of scrap. We exported metals as well as plastic scrap from the UK, Netherlands, Germany, Malta, Bulgaria, Greece and Poland. Now we have our own sorting facility dealing mainly with PET bottles and Aluminium Cans in Barking, East London.
We purchase all grades of Aluminum Cans, baled and loose to put them thorough our sorting facility and produce mill size bales. The average impurity level can be below 4%. During the process the cans go through Eddy Current Seperator and then go through trommel to shake of impurities to be forwarded to sorting line for manually removing majority of other remaining impurities. Even after a thorough hand sort we still expect up to 4% impurities.
