Established in 1982 by David Green and his wife Paddy,
GE-BE transport was a family business from the start,
with just one 35cwt truck operating from their own home.
Following the untimely death of David in 1995, Paddy and
her two sons Jason and Carl continued to run the company.
From its ‘humble’ beginning the company has grown
considerably, now operating a fleet of 42 vehicles from
purpose built premises on King’s Lynn’s
Saddlebow Industrial Estate.
GE-BE is proud to remain a family business and continues
to grow its fleet and customer base with new and innovative approaches to the haulage industry. But it is equally proud
of the company’s history.
In 1992 David embarked on an ambitious project to restore a dilapidated 1943 Austin K2 truck. Now completely restored
in GE-BE transport livery the vehicle is regularly and
successfully exhibited at classic vehicle festivals and is
a living testament to the dedication of the
hardworking GE-BE team.
