S&K Haulage Glamorgan Ltd known as S&K, was established in 1971, operating from Barry Docks, supplying individual transport management solution, warehousing, picking and packaging for the majority of the multi-national companies situated in South Wales, covering all of the United Kingdom and Europe.
With the diverse nature of the businesses of our long standing customers, it's imperative that S&K Haulage supply and utilize specialized vehicles and services suited to our customers needs. Drivers are ADR trained and qualified to The Department of Transport requirements, to ensure the highest safety standards We also hold a certificate of Registration Under the control of Pollution. S&K are BS EN ISO 9002 and EN 29002 registered and has been since October 1990. Also known as a Waste Carrier’s Licence.
As a result of the purchase of Vaughan Transport Systems Ltd the total fleet comprises of 100 motive units, complimented by 250 trailers, comprising of 13.6m curtainsiders, temperature controlled trailers, box vans, flatbeds, skeletal, gas and bulk liquid tankers with capacities up to 35,000ltrs. All these vehicles are based from our 5 acres enclosed site along with our warehousing facilities totaling 5,400 pallets.
S&K proposes to enter a long term partnerships with all their customers, with the objective being to assist in improving the cost effectiveness of their logistics operation, whilst ensuring that the service offered maintain the quality and reliability synonymous with the customer's name.
The primary objective of a Customer and S&K partnership is to ensure that the customer maintains a superior level of service and reliability to their United Kingdom and European customers.
S&K can offer vehicle maintenance contracts for outside vehicles, purpose built to cover all needs and aspects, for inspections, MOT testing & preparation, brake testing facilities, painting, warranty, with administration staff able run a proactive maintenance system with scheduling and forecasting for the client.
If required S&K can give a client a one point of interface, where all shipment information is received and enquiry data is given. The dedicated account person in S&K uses all form of communication, to allow the most effective and convenient communication channel between the two parties involved. For this S&K have 20 fixed lines, 5 mobile lines, 2 fax lines and 30+ email addresses to help customers to contact S&K easily. The vehicles used on dedicated contract and spot hire also have cab and mobile phones, and some of the fleet have vehicle tracking to help facilitate the most accurate information at all times.
S&K can control the administration for customers deliveries on a daily/weekly sheet, process and supply the sheet with a weekly or monthly invoice, followed by a monthly statement, Invoices will detail the customer’s reference number to ease tracking for the customer’s administration staff, the date of delivery, the destination of the consignor and consignee, the price of the transaction and a clear V.A.T summary to assist your accounts department when auditing your V.A.T.
S&K can hold the proof of deliveries & CMR's at our Barry Accounts office in hard copy or on DVD to save valuable office space in your administration centre or return them to yourselves with the relevant invoice.
