Hero trucker reunited with woman he helped to cross the road
Last week a trucker dressed in his orange hi-vis gear found viral fame on the web, while he was out on the job he came across an elderly woman trying to cross the road. The driver did what he felt was right, stopping the truck, jumping out of his vehicle and supporting her to get to the other side of the road.

Later, the trucker was named as Malino Wilson, who drives a cement mixer truck operating within Birmingham. The lady he helped was named as Barbara Tipping – who was among the thousands who praised his actions and kindness.

This week, the pair were reunited and celebrated the trucker’s kindness. Speaking about why he helped the lady cross the road, Mr Wilson said: “It sounds simple, but kindness and being kind to people is very important in life.”

Among the comments on the video, one said “Take a bow, that’s restored my faith in mankind!” In response to the comments on the video and the response it had online, Mr Wilson said: “It’s really nice, people look at the video, comment and say all these nice things.” The driver was clearly humbled by the hundreds of positive comments his actions received.

Barbara Tipping was happy to be reunited with her hero, and said some words about her experience: “They don’t usually get out and help y’know? I was grateful to get across.” This is a simple example of how everyday actions from a truck driver can change someone’s life and bring people together!
