RHA writes to new Police and Crime Commissioners
The Road Haulage Association has written to all 41 of the newly-elected Police and Crime Commissioners to urge action within their county forces to combat crime against road haulage and distribution.
“We have stressed that this is an important but often neglected area of business crime that can affect firms and employment in their areas,” said Chrys Rampley, secretary of the RHA Security Forum.
“We also offer to engage further with the PCCs. Ministers have made clear that they hold the key to policing in this (as in many other areas) and we will be working to strengthen our local contacts”.
