Richard Noble to open IMHX
With the UK’s largest intralogistics event fast approaching, IMHX 2013 are pleased to announce world land speed record breaker Richard Noble, OBE will perform the official opening duties on the first day of the event, which takes place at Birmingham’s NEC on March 19th-22nd.
Noble, who held the record between 1983 and 1997 at the wheel of Thurst2, will carry out ribbon-cutting duties at the Skills & Apprenticeships Zone in Hall 17, in front of his latest land speed record vehicle, Bloodhound SSC.
“Attracting a world-renowned engineer of the calibre of Richard Noble is a real feather in the cap of IMHX,” commented Rob Fisher, director of Informa Exhibitions’ Materials Handling Group, which organises IMHX. “He represents what can be achieved at the top end of the industry, which is crying out for role models to attract fresh blood into engineering. His presence at IMHX is a massive boost, and we will be delighted to host him at the event and show him the expertise that runs through the intralogistics industry.”
Richard will be bringing visitors to IMHX up-to-date with his latest project with a presentation in the Logistics Excellence theatre in Hall 17 of IMHX on Tuesday 19th March.
