The Logistics Terminal are in the running to win a national multimodal logistics award for theirPortcentric operations.
The inaugural SHD Logistics Awards will be held at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel on March 20th, and TLT are shortlisted in the multimodal category.
Richard Newbold, TLT Partner said: “It is great to be shortlisted in the SHD Logistics Awards, and to be recognised for our contribution to the multimodal logistics industry.
“TLT has doubled in size each year since we began, and our Portcentric solution acts as a multimodal hub seamlessly linking shipping to road and rail transport to create an efficient and effective supply chain for our customers.
“We look forward to the awards and all of us here at TLT have our fingers crossed.”
The Logistics Terminal’s location at the Port of Tilbury gives access to 30% of the UK’s customers within a two-hour drive. TLT can quickly offload containers and return them to the port, with secure bonded warehousing space available before working with distribution and haulage companies to ensure safe onward delivery to the end user.
With up to 3,000 new loads per day, saving over 250 million miles per year, the impact for the UK's Carbon footprint alone is huge.
