Transport Committee to scrutinise Vosa's work
The Transport Committee is to conduct an inquiry into the work of Vosa.
Issues to be covered by the select committee include: what can be done to improve the standards of foreign-registered trucks operating in the UK; how the agency can better support the traffic commissioners; if arrangements for vehicle test sites can be improved; and implementation of the HGV Road User Levy Bill.
The Committee, which last looked at Vosa in 2009, is asking for written submissions of evidence by 4 January 2013 to [email protected]

The Department for Transport informed the Transport Committee last week that police would have discretion in regards enforcement of a trial 80mph speed limit in response to its recent inquiry into road safety.
