M25 Junction 5 to 6
Work continues this week on an upgrade to the central reservation barrier along the M25 between junctions 5 (Sevenoaks) and 6 (Godstone), ahead of a major improvement project scheduled to start in spring 2013. Narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit are in place, with a free recovery service operating 24 hours a day. There will be additional lane and slip road closures as required, which will be carried out overnight when traffic flow is lowest.
M25 Junction 23 to 27
Main construction work on a major upgrade for the M25 on the Hertfordshire/Essex border will begin this month. Starting on Monday night, narrow lanes will be installed on both carriageways of the M25 between junctions 23 and 25, and a 50mph speed limit will be introduced. These will be in place 24 hours a day until spring 2014, when work will move to junctions 25-27.
A free recovery service will operate 24 hours a day. There will be additional lane and slip road closures as required, which will be carried out overnight when traffic flow is lowest, and details will appear in this bulletin.
M25 Junction 2
The anti-clockwise exit slip road will be closed overnight for four nights from Monday 4 March between 10pm and 5.30am for carriageway repairs. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 1a.
M25 Junction 7
The link road from the clockwise M25 to the northbound M23 will be closed overnight on Wednesday 6 March between 10pm and 5am for structure maintenance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 8.
M25 Junction 7
The link roads from the anti-clockwise M25 to the M23 in both directions will be closed overnight for four nights from Thursday 7 March between 10pm and 5am for structural maintenance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 6.
M25 Junction 14
The anti-clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight on Tuesday 5 March between 10pm and 5am for sign maintenance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via local roads to junction 13.
M25 Junction 15
The link roads from the M25 in both directions to the westbound M4 will be closed overnight for two nights from Thursday 7 March between 10pm and 5.30am for carriageway repairs. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 4 of the M4.
M25 Junction 20
The anti-clockwise exit slip road will be closed overnight for five nights from Monday 4 March between 10pm and 5am for litter clearance. On Friday night work will start at 11pm. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 18.
Also, the clockwise entry slip road will be closed at the same times. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 21a.
M25 Junction 23
The anti-clockwise M25 will be closed between the exit and entry slip roads at junction 23 overnight, between 10pm and 5.30am, for three nights from Monday 4 March for carriageway improvements. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via the junction interchange.
M25 Junction 27
The link road from the clockwise M25 to the M11 in both directions will be closed overnight for two nights from Monday 4 March between 10pm and 5am for inspection work. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 28.
M25 Junction 28
The anti-clockwise exit slip road will be closed overnight for five nights from Monday 4 March between 10pm and 5am for sign maintenance. On Friday night work will start at 11pm. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 26.
Also, the clockwise exit slip road will be closed overnight for six nights from Sunday 10 March between 10pm and 5am for sign maintenance. road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 29.
M11 Junction 6
The link road from the southbound M11 to the anti-clockwise M25 will be closed overnight on Tuesday 5 March between 10pm and 5am for inspection work. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 28.
A13
The link road from the westbound A13 to the clockwise M25 at junction 31 will be closed overnight for two nights from Monday 4 March between 10pm and 5am for structural maintenance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 30.
A40 – Junction 1 (Denham roundabout)
There will be restrictions on the Denham roundabout this week while resurfacing work is carried out. The southeast quadrant of the interchange will be closed overnight on Thursday 7 March between 10pm and 6am and the southwest quadrant will be closed overnight on Friday 8 March between 11pm and 6am. Fully signed diversion routes will be in place.
