Our premises are equipped with multiple dock leveler loading bays and we are ideally situated to accommodate the safe cross-docking of full container loads which require unpacking on arrival at the Port of Felixstowe for urgent onward delivery. We operate 24 hour ‘shunting’ dedicated to efficiently moving loaded containers from the port terminal to our port depot and ensuring the safe return of empty containers. This avoids expensive quay rent and demurrage charges. Our depot is Customs AEO certified, with over 5000 sq metres of high quality inside storage, with large storage areas also available outside. This includes Customs bonded areas, Customs ERTS cargo bays and storage facilities for pharmaceuticals and food products. George Baker (Europe) Ltd provides logistics services for Manufacturer’s and Freight Forwarders alike. We are able to offer full load, daily groupage and part load services to and from all European destinations, and have all types of trailers available to suit your requirements. Using our own fleet of vehicles coupled with long established links with reliable partners, we are able to provide modern equipment at a competitive price with a high level of service. We are also able to provide “express just in time” deliveries with our own fleet of vans (including ADR goods ~ dangerous goods). We endeavour to collect and deliver shipments on the original trailer where possible. This enables us to offer faster transit times, reduce the risk of loss or damage and avoid incurring additional re-delivery costs.
